Batman Arkham Asylum Review

Batman Arkham Asylum has been released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and will be released shortly for the PC.Could it be the best super hero games ever made?, read the review and give me Your opinion.

Story: The plot is based loosely on the Arkham Asylum miniseries written by Grant Morrison. While some plot points are taken from those miniseries.

The story begins with the Joker, having been captured once more by Batman, being dragged back to his cell in Arkham Asylum.

Joker escapes custody and his goons flood the island, taking over.Joined by his..."girlfriend", Joker assumes the title of warden and plans to bring mayhem to Gotham.

So, with many inmates free from their cells and many more goons freed from Blackgate prison, its all up to Batman to stop the Joker's "Dark Reign". All in all, an enjoyable story and well worth playing through.

Gameplay: This game has the most addicting, amazing, astonishing, and animated gameplay of any game out this year thus far.

Basically, the game takes elements from things like: Zelda, Metal Gear, Metroid Prime and Dead Space. It takes all these different types of games, throws them in a blender, and what comes out is one amazing experience.

What makes this game great for completionists are the riddler challenges. Each room has a riddle to solve, which means you have to scan the answer to the riddle in detective mode. There are also chronicles of arkham to discover, which are diary entries of the asylum's founder, Amadeus Arkham.

Unfornately, this game is too short.

Sound: The music is incredible, it sounds like music in a batman game should sound.A few themes seem to be inspired by the movies. If You follow the Batman animated series You will find some familiar voice from the animated series itself.

A Batman fans will not be dissapointed again and again.

Paid Video Game Testers Don't Need Training - Learn Why Now

If you're just dieing to be a paid video game tester and want to quit your normal 9-5 job, then you need to listen up. Video game testing is a JOB, not a hobby! Yes, it's fun, it's entertaining, and it pays well -- but that doesn't mean you can just do what you want when you want.As with any other type of employment, you have to do the tasks you are assigned in a timely, professional manner.

Failing repeatedly in your tasks will result in a loss of your testing job, as well as any
reference you might have gained from that game developer. That said, really put effort into your testing assignment if you want to go far as a video game tester. If you put in half-ass efforts, you'll get half-ass results, period!
How to Become a Tester Without Training

Believe it or not, game testers don't require formal training of any kind. Obviously, you'll likely be more successful and climb up the ladder faster if you do indeed have training that'll aid in your game testing -- but by no means is it "must have" prerequisite.

To be honest, you only need to have the following to become a paid video game tester...

- Experience playing video games (The more the better)

- A good eye for detail (IMPORTANT!)

- A high end PC and/or a next-gen console (PS3 or XBOX 360) to complete your
"assignments" on

- Internet connection and computer so you can send in testing reports and get updates

- Must Be 18 years Old. Some companies will make exceptions, but not many

If you can meet these requirements, or at least the majority of them, you "qualify" to be a paid video game tester. Does this mean you'll be able to get a job testing video games immediately? Unfortunately, no -- it just means you are a person game developers would seriously consider hiring as a game tester.

An Introduction to Warhammer Fantasy

You have probably heard of Warhammer and Warhammer 40k, and if you have not then chances are you have seen the excellent computer game Dawn of War.

Games Workshop are the masterminds behind these epic franchises. As the largest tabletop battle games company in the world, Games Workshop are also responsible for the more recent games based on the Lord of the Rings trilogy. A Little History Warhammer Fantasy Battle was the first game to be set in Warhammers alternate middle earth realm. Since its release in 1983 Warhammer has inspired generations of table top gamers, introducing them to painting and collecting the
miniature models that represent battlefield units.

Warhammer 40k is Games Workshops futuristic version of the original game, set in the far future. Post apocalyptic societies struggle to control the galaxy, finding strange alien races and evil around every corner. This franchise was brought to wide
media attention with the release of Dawn of War on the PC in 2004. The Warhammer Fantasy Franchise encompasses table top games, role-playing games, card games, computer games, books, magazines and comics. Games Workshop is famous for the hard line it takes against impersonators and those who try and sell fake versions of their products, specifically the miniatures needed to play the table top games.

25 years of game development has produced an amazingly rich and detailed world. The official website lists over 200 written resources for Warhammer Fantasy. Additionally many older products are no longer in print or are unavailable. The depth of information is staggering. Historical, religious and political histories are available for each of the 15 major armies used in the game. Warhammer Fantasy inspires amazing artwork. Books produced as part of the worlds background feature stunning illustrations. Fans of the franchise also produce spectacular artwork of their own - often rivalling the official artists.

An Expensive Hobby Warhammer has come a long way from those early days. Games Workshops commercial attitude to the franchise has turned many unsuspecting people into serious hobbyists who are almost addicted to the system. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and unassembled, much like an airfix model. To collect, build and paint armies consisting of hundreds of models is not for the faint hearted! Add to this the need to create scenery and model buildings and you begin to appreciate the time, effort and money that fans invest into Warhammer. Warhammer And The Future The Warhammer franchise appears to be eternal. Games Workshop are clearly willing to move with the times as demonstrated by the release of several computer games in the past decade.

The impending release of a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) - Warhammer: Age of Reckoning - based in the Warhammer fantasy world is adding to the reputation of this gaming giant. Nearly 600,000 people have signed up hoping to get a sneak preview of the game, providing solid evidence that Warhammer is now firmly in the mainstream.

An Introduction to E-Games

In the age of Internet, E-Games is an irresistible attraction amongst all age groups. The desire to play games has turned children to be more techno savvy these days. E-Games are flexible and intuitive, it's easy to use so you can spend your
time creating games instead of programming them.

You can increase business effectiveness by easily adding more motivation and challenge to your learning programs. With the advent of E-Learning, even Training Games are transforming. Indeed, because Computer Games and Arcades are commonplace,
instructional games may be the perfect candidate for e-learning events. Trainers understand the value of a good game for engaging participants in the learning process, whether as pre-course materials, self-teaching tools, or content reviews.
Most games draw on traditional game-show styles such as Jeopardy, or popular boardgames, including Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly. The question-and-answer format of those games proves ideal for self-assessment and memory building. When played in
groups, games promote teambuilding and team spirit. More importantly, games alleviate learners' anxiety about being evaluated.

A sophisticated programmed E-Game usually includes the following features:

· Easy, intuitive authoring interfaces.
· An array of different game types.
· Detailed Help files, sample games, and demonstrations.
· Cross-platform playback using the Flash web player.
· No messy software downloads or installation
requirements.

Computer and video game software sales grew 8% in 2003 to $ 7 billion in the following years and are expected to hike more. However, when compared to the movie industry this segment is still a small player.

In fiscal 2004, ended June 30, E-Games' sales rose 11% to $8 million, and profit increased 9%, to $1.7 million, from a year earlier. It did have a loss of $184,000 in its 2005 fiscal first quarter, after sales were hurt when Wal-Mart Stores Inc. reduced shelf space it allocates to low-price PC games, E-Games says.

Some very sought after E-Games are as follows:

1. AirXonix: This is a 3-dimensional remake of the Xonix game. In the Xonix game you have to control a device, which is moving over the playing field whilst several monster-balls are wandering inside. The objective is to isolate the balls away from as much spare playing field as possible.

3. Cross & Word Games: A compilation of three simple puzzle games previously released by E-Games in their early RomTech days. Crossword Mania is a set of 110 crossword puzzles and Word Search Mania has 222 word searches. Both of these pencil and paper to keyboard and monitor translations also have basic design tools for constructing your own puzzles. Word Connect Special Edition is a one board demo of a Scrabble clone where players try to form interlocking words on a board with lettered
tiles.

6. Miniverse Minigolf: Two 9 hole mini golf courses for 1-4 players. One course is set on "Earth" and features putting through locations such as a construction site, a war zone, and a casino. The other course is set in space and includes a variety
of science fiction obstacles like tele-porters and laser shields. Players can choose to control their putter by pushing or pulling the mouse and can select one of several different colors for their golf ball.
