Bosses of Next-Gen games

Bosses are perhaps one of the most fun elements to games, especially in online games where you need to work with other people in a team to fell it. In old games bosses just did more damage and had a higher health pool.. now game companies try to create new fun ways to make the bosses challenging especially in MMORPGs.

Blizzard Entertainments World of Warcraft has massive bosses that take 25 people to kill, they used to even take 400 people to kill. The bosses use spells and abilities that make the fight more interesting, and therefore difficult, rather than just
doing more damage than a regular character. Bosses are perhaps one of the most fun elements to games, especially in online games where you need to work with other

The bosses game producers make are sadly limited by the game engine. So, what cant the current game engines achieve that we should be seeing in the next generation of games? One boss yet to appear in World of Warcraft is a race. Imagine if you had to
constantly run around a race course while a boss is shooting at you, if you are too slow you die. The bosses game producers make are sadly limited by the game engine.
